A Rowen Hollow book is a coffee table book written entirely from your pet's point of view. You choose your book and design the cover, then tell us who they are: their personality, their habits, the people in their life. We write their story in their voice, add custom illustrations, and print and bind it just for them. It comes as a Custom Hardback Book or a Custom Paperback Book, delivered to your door.
No. It's a written memoir in their voice. Think of it as the book your pet would write if they could. The artwork is illustrated, and the portrait you choose is printed on the About the Author page. But this isn't a photo album. It's a story.
Your pet's story is built from your own words, told in theirs. We read every book before it's printed.
Each book is made to order. Books take approximately 2 weeks to deliver from the day you tell us about your pet. We'll email you tracking once your book is on its way.
Order and tell us about your pet by November 15 to have it in time for the holidays. Running late? A gift card arrives by email instantly, and they can tell us about their pet whenever they're ready.
Gifting is one of the most popular reasons people order. You can either tell us about someone's pet yourself, or purchase a Gift Card and let them do it at their own pace. Gift Cards are delivered instantly by email and are good for one year.
Because every book is written and printed specifically for your pet, we're unable to accept returns. However, if your book arrives damaged or there's a printing error, we'll reprint and reship at no cost. Just email us a photo of the issue.
Yes, and there are three ways to do it.

More than one, to one address. Choose how many when you check out. Every copy after the first is $71 for hardback, $45 for paperback. One for the coffee table and one for the kids’ shelf, or a spare that stays perfect.

More than one, to different addresses. Add each person’s address when you check out. Shipping is $8 per additional book in the U.S., or $16.50 to Canada for hardbacks, each with its own tracking. A memorial copy for each sibling who grew up with them, or one for the grandmother who dog-sits every Tuesday. U.S. and Canada only, for now.

The photos you send us live on the author page (because every author needs a headshot) and help our team capture your pet's spirit as we write. The pages themselves are their story, not a photo timeline. You already have a thousand photos of your pet on your phone. This is something different: the book they'd write if they could.

    Both books are 8.3" × 11.7" portrait (A4), printed on 120gsm Mohawk Superfine Eggshell Ultrawhite, a premium, zero-glare, fine art matte paper. The Custom Paperback Book has a flexible 250gsm softcover with a matte-laminated finish. The Custom Hardback Book has a rigid hardcover wrapped in a matte-laminated, full-color print. Page count varies with the length of your pet's story. Both are PUR bound to lie flat on a coffee table.

It takes 10–20 minutes, and you can pause anytime. The more detail you give, the better the book. We handle the writing, illustrations, printing, and shipping from there.
